A: An infant born to a mother who has an STD is also at risk of contracting the disease during birth. Please be honest and talk with your doctor about this.
Q: How can I know if I have an STD?
A: If you have been sexually active, you need to be tested by your doctor or medical clinic. There are STDs that do not have symptoms – Chlamydia is called the “silent disease” because it usually has no symptoms. Don’t assume you are free of disease.
